However, if your partner is not a UK citizen, you\u2019re only eligible to apply for a marriage visitor visa which allows you to get married in the UK.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Eligible criteria for UK fianc\u00e9(e) visa<\/h3>\n<p>The main requirements to successfully acquire a fianc\u00e9(e) visa include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You and your partner should be above 18.<\/li>\n<li>You have met your partner in person.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re not in a prohibited relationship.<\/li>\n<li>Your relationship is sincere and genuine.<\/li>\n<li>Any previous romantic relationships should have broken down.<\/li>\n<li>You want to enter the UK to get married or establish a civil partnership.<\/li>\n<li>You intend to live with your fianc\u00e9(e) in the UK after marriage or civil partnership.<\/li>\n<li>You and your partner aren\u2019t married or in a civil partnership with another person at the time of the application.<\/li>\n<li>Both of you meet the financial requirements.<\/li>\n<li>You know and are able to speak English to the required level.<\/li>\n<li>Your prospective accommodation in the UK is sufficient and isn\u2019t overcrowded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional considerations<\/h3>\n<p>If you aren\u2019t able to get married within 6 months after your arrival in the UK, you can submit an application to get your <u>visa extended<\/u>.
