Important information for UK visa applicants:<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n

You can only settle in the UK for five years without meeting any of the financial requirements if:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You receive any sort of Disability Living Allowance or Carer\u2019s benefits.<\/li>\n
  2. You have applied as a parent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In every other case (especially that of the spouse visa), you need to meet certain financial requirements.<\/p>\n

    The Financial Requirements <\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

    In order to qualify for the UK spouse visa, you need to be able to prove that you can be \u2018adequately maintained in the UK\u2019 without relying on public funds. When you\u2019re applying for the visa, you need to demonstrate that your spouse has a gross income of:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \u00a318,600<\/li>\n
    2. \u00a33,800 for the first child.<\/li>\n
    3. \u00a32,400 for every additional child.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      This is known as the \u2018<\/strong>minimum income requirement.\u2019<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

      The above-mentioned criteria apply if the child is neither British, settled nor an EEA national. The financial requirement also applies to both you and your spouse jointly if you plan on staying in the UK and have a valid leave to remain.<\/p>\n

      \u00a0How to Satisfy the Financial Requirement?<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

      To satisfy the UK spouse visa\u2019s financial requirements, you may consider the following options:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Salaried and non-income income<\/li>\n
      2. Property rental income<\/li>\n
      3. Self-employed income<\/li>\n
      4. Dividends from a company\u2019s net profit, if you\u2019re the director<\/li>\n
      5. Pension income<\/li>\n
      6. Insurance payments<\/li>\n
      7. Cash savings that exceed \u00a316,000. The savings must have been held for not more than six months. If you\u2019ve sold any property or investment, the transaction must have taken place within the last six months.<\/li>\n
      8. Proceeds from shares, stocks, trust funds, bonds, and any other form of investment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        You can also rely on a combination of multiple sources of income to meet the requirements.<\/p>\n

        What Proof Do You Need to Present?<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

        Along with other documents, you also need to provide proof of your income when you\u2019re applying. If one of the two partners are employed, the documents must include:<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Bank statement(s) showing your\/your spouse\u2019s income.<\/li>\n
        2. Genuie payslips from the last six months.<\/li>\n
        3. A letter from the employer as proof of your\/your partner\u2019s employment. The letter must be dated and on a headed paper. Other than specifying that you work\/your spouse works there, the letter must also mention the job title, total working duration, type of job (permanent\/contractual), earnings before tax, and National Insurance. The letter must also mention how long you or your spouse have been paid the current salary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
