UK Spouse Visa<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Those who have a spouse outside of the United Kingdom and are British citizens or residents can bring them to the UK on the Spouse Visa, which is part of the Family visa category.<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n

To visit and stay in the United Kingdom with a spouse or fianc\u00e9 for longer than six months, a UK family visa known as a “Marriage Visa” is required.<\/p>\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The UK resident and the applicant who wishes to join them in the UK must meet certain requirements stipulated by the UK Immigration authorities to be eligible for a UK Spouse visa. Both the resident and the applicant must be at least eighteen years old to be eligible for a Spouse Visa, as British law does not recognise marriages between people under the age of 18.<\/p>\n

  1. You must be a British citizen to bring your spouse to the country.<\/li>\n
  2. The British government must recognise your union.<\/li>\n
  3. You must be in a two-year relationship to apply<\/li>\n
  4. If you are engaged to be married, you must provide proof that you will marry within six months.<\/li>\n
  5. The financial requirement for a spouse visamust be met by the partner residing in the United Kingdom.<\/li>\n
  6. English language proficiency<\/u><\/a>is required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For a maximum of two and a half years, spouse visas can be changed or extended (30 months). For the first time, spouses seeking entry to the UK are granted a time limit of 33 months.<\/p>\n

    Spouse Visa for ILR<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

    To qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain, spouses of British nationals must have had a UK Spouse Visa for at least five years. To apply for ILR, you must do so 28 days before the end of the five years. To begin a new life with one’s family in the United Kingdom, the UK Spouse Visa is frequently the first step to take.<\/p>\n
