  • You can extend your visit prior to the expiry of a current UK visa. But the extension can only be up to 28 days if you’re planning to stay in the same place with the same people.
  • If you do not qualify to enter or leave the UK because of COVID-19 restrictionsthen you can extend your visit or turn in an application for a family visa.
  • You can get your visa in around 12 weeks if you’re applying outside the UK and it takes about 8 weeks if you apply inside UK.
