Our immigration solicitors review your completed UK Student visa application and documents before you submit it to UKVI, to avoid costly mistakes.

The application review costs a fixed fee of £600 + VAT and helps identify potential errors or missing evidence, improving your chances of a successful outcome. Most refusals come from bank statements that miss the 28-day rule, so we check your CAS and financial evidence line by line.

  • Applications from outside the UK, extensions and switches checked
  • 28-day bank balance and 31-day window checked
  • Maintenance figure confirmed for London or outside London
  • Fixed £600 + VAT, online or in person

For a Student visa application & document checking service, call Wembley Solicitors today at 020 3417 3700 or book an appointment online.

Which Student visa documents do you check?

We check every document your CAS and route require.

  • Parental consent and birth certificate if using a parent's funds
  • Academic qualifications listed on the CAS

  • TB certificate and ATAS certificate where required

Which Student visa requirements do you test?

We test the requirements in force on your application date.

  • Course fees for the first year, unless already paid
  • Maintenance of £1,529 a month in London or £1,171 outside London, for up to 9 months

  • English at the level your course requires

Check which figure applies to your application date before starting the 28-day period. More detail: Student visa UK.

What mistakes do you find most often?

The 28-day rule causes most of the problems we see.

  • Balance dipping below the required amount on any day
  • 28-day period ending more than 31 days before applying
  • Using the wrong maintenance figure after 30 November 2026
  • Funds in a parent's name without consent and proof of relationship
  • CAS fee details that don't match receipts

How does the Student visa application checking service work?

You complete the application yourself, a solicitor checks it, and you submit once every issue is fixed.

  1. Complete your online application on GOV.UK and save it as a draft, without paying or submitting.
  2. Book the application checking service online or call Wembley Solicitors on 020 3417 3700.
  3. Send us copies of your draft form, CAS and bank statements.
  4. A solicitor checks every answer and document against the Immigration Rules, including the 28-day maintenance funds rule.
  5. We go through the findings with you online, by phone or face to face, and explain how to fix each issue.
  6. Make the corrections, then submit on GOV.UK, pay the Home Office fee and Immigration Health Surcharge, and complete your identity check.

How long does a Student visa document check take?

Most Student visa document checks are completed within 1-3 working days of receiving all your documents.

  • Standard: completed within 1-3 working days
  • Same day: available depending on the complexity of your case, confirmed when you book
  • One-off service, with no retainer or ongoing fees

When should I book a Student visa document check?

Book before your 28-day bank balance period ends, so any problem can be fixed before you apply.

  • Funds must be held for 28 consecutive days, ending no more than 31 days before you apply
  • Higher maintenance figures apply to applications made on or after 30 November 2026
  • Checking early avoids restarting the 28 days if a statement is wrong
  • A same-day appointment may be possible for urgent cases, depending on complexity
